Tucked In Bird Colors

I came across this infinity scarf  on Amazon and loved it.  It’s even more precious in person.  I used the scarf as the focal point of the outfit.

I have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to tuck something in and this outfit was just that.  I was inspired by this post from Amy at "Full Figured and Fashionable" where she discusses that just because you are a certain size, does not mean you can not tuck clothing in.  I ended up tucking in my new white scoop neck tee from Wet Seal into my red Lane Bryant skinnes from Gabe's and finished it off by cinching it with a black belt from Lane Bryant. I topped it off with this honey mustard sweater from ModCloth The end result was beyond my expectations.  (Please note that I don't have on any make up because I've been sick.  I have some sinus crud and feel awful but this outfit did make me feel better).

The shoes are from Payless.  (similar)

I want to thank Leslie from http://thestylesupreme.blogspot.com/ for introducing me to Wet Seal.

On a side note, I stepped on a scale and was pleased to learn that I had hit the 20 lb. lost mark.  Merry Christmas to me!

Outfit of the Day: Basics and Blue

I was doing my daily blog reading a few weeks ago and came by this outfit on "Budget Babe".  I was immediately drawn in by the cobalt blue jacket.  I wanted something that color that would work for my wardrobe.

I started with a white shirt and black pants.

Then I added red plaid shoes.  I wore my first pair of shoes from ModCloth.  I wore them all day at school and they were comfortable.  Comfort is of the most importance to me.

Next, I added some accessories.

Last, was the cobalt blue sweater. I don't like to wear coats so this is a great alternative.

Just having a little fun!
