The Fashion of Target

More and more bloggers are sending their audience to Target to buy clothes!  Why?  Because Target is offering all kinds of specialty lines with a wide size range.  The prices might be somewhat elevated BUT you get high quality fashion at a reasonable price.  I was in a fashion Facebook group and someone posted this really cute jumpsuit from Target.  I was instantly in love!  It was so cute and flowy.  Perfect for the transition from winter to spring!  I couldn't get it out of my system so I bought it.  Man, I am glad I took the plunge because it is everything I expected and more!  It's from the brand Universal Thread!  Their sizes are inclusive!

Can we talk about these shoes from the brand A New Day for only $22.99? They are so cute! Plus, they come in wide width.   I love them and see getting a lot of wear out of them.  I feel they really elevate the outfit.  It was my intention to add small details to this outfit to elevate it while keeping it casual!

The earrings I'm wearing are from Nickel and Suede.  You are paying for quality!  These earrings are versatile.  I have wore them for a few months with casual and dressed up outfits.  The cool factor is they come in small, medium, and large.  I am wearing the medium in the picture!

It is my plan to find many ways to wear these pieces into the summer!

Blessings,

Princess Vicky

Amazon and Recreating an Outfit

It happened on one cold day!  I was searching through some blogs and Instagram and came across this outfit and fell in love.  It's from Budget Babe

I loved it and decided to recreate it.  I had the jeans, shoes, and scarf.  Using her links, I went to Amazon and was able to find plus size options.  They ended up being reasonably priced and nice.  Who knew?!  I had never bought anything other than an occasional scarf from Amazon.  It ended up being a wonderful choice!

Infinity Scarf (similiar)
Striped Shirt
Sweater  (I was fortunte to get a Lightning Deal for $19.99 but I would pay the $32.99.  It's nice, comfortable, and breathable).
Jeans
Booties (sold out)  Similiar #1  Similiar #2

I loved the sweater so much that I bought it in green!  It's so snuggly and comfortable.  I can't wait to wear it and create some outfits!

Rue 21 :Plus

his will be short and sweet because I only have good things to say about this top!

I ordered from Rue 21 Plus on a whim and boy I'm glad I didn't ignore that impulse.  The item I am reviewing today is a top. It's cold shoulder and I love it.  It's comfortable and fits well.  I ordered a size up because I was not sure about the sizing of Rue 21.  I am glad I made that choice.  I don't like tight tops.  If you like things a little more snug, order down a size.It is a somewhat thin so you will need an undershirt for it.  It flows easily.  It will be easy to wear this going into the fall too.

Top: Rue 21 Ivory Cold Shoulder Top (Sold Out)
Shoes:  Orange Espadrilles by Comfort View
Extra Skinny Jeans:  Torrid Ultra Skinny Jeans (Short)

I will be ordering more items from Rue 21 Plus.

Here are all the shots.  Even the one where Katniss decided to join the photo shoot!

Highlighter on the Cheap

Hi, my name is Vicky and I'm addicted to highlighter!

I have waited for awhile for this product because it's always sold out on the ELF website.  Imagine my excitement as I was exploring the ELF products on the Ulta site, I was giddy when I was able to find the ELF Highlighter in Moonlight Pearls.  It ONLY costs $3.  The price is phenomenal.

Per my usual routine for applying highlighter, I used a fan brush.  However, it didn't pick up a lot of the product.  I ended up using a tapered face brush by ELF to apply. Thankfully, it's easily buildable.  It took about three applications to get the desired result.

I'm thinking if I try a liquid primer on the brush, it might work better.  I will try that next time.  Overall, I'm happy with the result and you can't beat the price!

Rain Boots for Wide Feet by Comfortview

Rain has taken over our city.  Not just any rain, it is a cold rain.  The type of rain that makes you forget what it was like to have sunshine.  I had things to do today so I pulled out my rain/snow boots.  I bought them last year to wear with an outfit I put together to view Mockingjay Part 1 and for whatever reason I never wore them again last year.  That will not be the case this year.  These rain/snow boots were extremely comfortable and my feet were kept dry.  Furthermore, I have to wear an ankle brace and I was able to wear the boots without feeling constrained.  The inside of the boot is insulated and you feel like you are walking on a nice, comfy blanket.   Lastly, they gave me a lot of support especially my injured leg.

You can get a coupon code for www.fullbeauty.com by doing a search on Google.  Just type in:
"50% off coupon code for full beauty".  Then the cost goes down to around $30.  That's how much I paid last year. Worth every penny!

A Scarf and "I Only Paid" on Repeat

I'm funny about scarves because a lot of times I wear them and they break me out. However, since I have changed to eating "clean", it seems certain stuff is not bothering me anymore.  (Side note:  At the end of last school year, I kept breaking out on my neck and chest.  I could not figure out why for the life of me.  It turned out I was allergic to the lanyard I was using to hold my id.  So crazy!)

I was in T.J. Maxx a few weeks ago and saw this scarf and had to have it.  I don't wear scarves often but am trying to branch out in my clothing choices. I only paid $12.99 so it was in price range.

Lane Bryant was having a killer sale last weekend so I purchased this black moto jacket.  It was marked 1/2 off and then another 30% off. I had to have it.  I love it.  I've never owned a moto jacket before.  I'm glad I took a chance and bought it.

I bought some heart tights from Lane Bryant . So cute!  What makes them even cuter is that I only paid $7 for them because they were on sale for $10 and once again I had a 30% off coupon code.

The booties are from One Stop Plus.  They are from their Comfortview line.  They live up to the name "Comfort".  I only paid around around $22 for them.  You can get 50% coupon codes online.  The dress is from Double Digits Consignment Boutique.

I'm happy with this outfit.  It was perfect for church and for the weather.  Mostly, it was comfortable.

I had fun putting this together.
